DEEP COVE DREAM HOME

Waiting patiently during the last  year of construction Mark and Victoria have moved into their beautiful three level home in the Deep Cove area. Starting with a sound design developed by Architect Mike Lightbody of MPLightbody Ltd. great care and attention was taken by Stu Sanders and his crew Paul, Greg, and Quinn at all stages of the project.

The home features so many beautiful details, its most prevalent the custom fir beam and post details that run through-out the home. Wide plank oak floors and basalt stone dress the  kitchen and great room. Upstairs has rooms for each of their three wonderful children, a bathroom, laundry and a spacious master suite with walk out private deck and East, South and West windows to allow the light to enter through out the day. Bringing an abundant amount of light to the main part of the home a 10 foot long peaked custom skylight. The exterior of the home is clad in Basalt stone along with cedar shingle and lap sidings. Patios are sandblasted and dyed concrete.

The home is heated with In-Floor Radiant heat through-out the home powered by an IBC Boiler. High Density Spray foam was used through-out the home, including under the slab. This helped achieve a just higher the 2.0 Air Change or "ACH" rating on the home. This will help reduce fuel costs during winter to heat the home and keep the house cooler in the summer months as well. The houses air quality which was an important factor to the homeowners is regulated with an "eneready" heat recovery ventilation unit (HRV) and careful use of Zero "VOC" paints and products that do not use solvents of formaldehyde to prevent future off-gassing. The home was also prepped for future Solar collection on the roof for either Hot Water or Photo Voltaics. We are currently waiting for a turn in the weather and some sunnier skies to complete the exterior work on the home.

Thanks again to Mark and Victoria for allowing us to build their beautiful home, all to all the hard working trades and people that helped put this great project together.
